Safety of staff, volunteers and visitors is our No. 1 priority

We have therefore undertaken a thorough risk assessment which has considered the risks for members of the public:

a)  attending our events and

b) hiring our venue.

a)  attending our events

We have worked hard to stay on top of the latest government and industry guidance and will continue to do so as advice and rules change.

As members of a number of industry organisations (e.g. The Touring Network, Film Hub Scotland) we have developed our COVID precautions according to industry best practice.

We are confident that you will have a safe and enjoyable experience when you come to an event at Strathearn Arts.

Following a comprehensive COVD 19 Risk Assessment, we have taken the following measures:

  • The building is professionally cleaned every morning including all door handles, tables, toilets, sinks and hard surfaces

  • New signage has been posted throughout the building to aid social distancing

  • We have implemented a one-way system for moving around the auditorium

  • Wearing of face-coverings is now mandatory for staff, volunteers and audiences in line with government’s guidance for cinemas

  • Hand sanitiser is available at entrances/exits

  • Test and protect contact tracing info is required from all those attending events

  • Venue capacity has been quartered. Pre-COVID we could seat 188, Now our maximum is 45)

  • New socially-distanced seating layout and ticketing to ensure households are seated at least 2m apart

b) hiring our venue

We have a range of regular and ad hoc venue hire bookings throughout the year. We are keen to support local groups and organisations that are needing a place to meet, rehearse, teach etc and have a range of venue hire options available.

All those hiring our venue are responsible for adherence to the latest guidance and rules from government and governing bodies etc. However, we want to make sure that everyone hiring our spaces can be confident that the building itself is as safe as possible.

Following a comprehensive COVD 19 Risk Assessment, we have taken the following measures:

  • The building is professionally cleaned every morning including all door handles, tables, toilets, sinks and hard surfaces

  • New signage has been posted throughout the building to aid social distancing

  • Hand sanitiser is available at entrances/exits

  • Risk assessments are required from all those hiring our venue. These should encompass the risks associated with the use of the facility and the specific activities being undertaken as well as the additional risks posed by COVID 19
