With exciting plans for the growth of our diverse and high-quality arts programme as well as for a full redevelopment of our venue and facilities, our new Director will have a tremendous opportunity to make their mark, both within our local community and also in the wider context of the arts in Scotland.

From its inception as a volunteer-run charity in 2013, Strathearn Arts has developed to become a much-loved part of community life with a combination of carefully curated programme designed to appeal to a range of audiences and a growing programme of community partnerships and activities aimed at using the arts to address needs and inequalities.

With a small but dedicated team of 7 staff, an active and energetic board of trustees and an enthusiastic pool of volunteers, Strathearn Arts delivers over 80 events and activities per year from its 184-seat venue in the heart of Crieff.

The successful candidate will fulfil a pivotal role in the organisation, reporting directly to the Board of Trustees and leading the staff team, operating within an ambitious but achievable budget, closely managing costs and balancing revenues with core and project funding requirements to deliver our programme. In addition, there will be a requirement to drive forward with plans for our major capital development building project involving the implementation of the project’s business plan and funding strategy.

In return, we can offer you a competitive salary, pension plan and 29 days holiday pro rata (inc public holidays) plus the opportunity to work within an engaged and supportive community in one of the most stunning environments in the country.

If you are interested in finding out more about this role including full job description and person specification, please contact recruit@strathearnarts.org as soon as possible. Then, to apply for the position you will need to submit your CV and covering letter no later than Friday 21st October.
