Coronavirus COVID-19 Public Statement - Tuesday 17th March 2020
Following the UK Government announcement on Monday 16th March 2020 to step up measures to fight the Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, reinforced by guidance from the Scottish Government, we have taken the decision to temporarily close Strathearn Arts. This decision was taken by the staff and trustees at a meeting on Tuesday 17th March 2020. We take the health and safety of our audiences, staff and volunteers, as well as the performing artists that we work with, very seriously and have therefore suspended all of our public events. We feel it is right that we do our part to support the over-riding goal of protecting our community from the rapid transmission of the Coronavirus.
INFORMATION ON TICKET REFUNDS
For those of you that have booked tickets for any of these events we can confirm that we are happy to offer you a full refund.
However, if you feel able to do so, we are asking anyone that has purchased tickets with us to consider exchanging your ticket for a credit against any future Strathearn Arts event instead of requesting a refund.
Alternatively, some of our customers have already taken the kind decision to donate the value of their tickets to us. As with many areas of our economy, there are real viability issues for the arts as a result of the Coronavirus and Strathearn Arts will see a considerable financial impact during the shut-down so showing your support in this way would be a real encouragement!
From tomorrow (Wednesday 18th March), we will be operating with a skeleton staff in the Strathearn Arts office. We would therefore ask that those people who have bought tickets and would like refunds contact us first to organise a suitable time to come and collect them. Please call 01764 655556 or email to arrange.
Those of you that have booked tickets via Eventbrite will shortly receive an email from us with details about getting your refunds via that platform.
