Radiophrenia presents
Reverb - Summer of Sound
Sound art workshops for young people ages 13-18
The group will learn creative sound recording techniques with different microphones. Participants will get to experiment with the sonic possibilities of objects and voice and record atmospheric soundscapes and interviews around Strathearn. A creative sound work developed by the group will be broadcast on Radiophrenia FM and online in September 2026.
The project is led by artist Helen McCrorie for Radiophrenia.
The project may appeal to young people who are interested in art, music/sound, filmmaking, journalism/radio, or who would just like to try out fun new forms of expression.
Workshops will be based at Strathearn Arts, with field trips on foot to Remake-Scotland, McCrosty Park and other locations around Crieff. We also hope to include a minibus trip to Comrie Soundlab/Cultybraggan (tbc.)
All venues are accessible, and please let us know of any access needs, or where own transport is preferred.
We welcome young people from minoritised communities and LGBTQ+
Spaces are free but limited and participants must be available for all sessions that week.
With support from Strathearn Arts, Remake, and Comrie Sound Lab
