TAKEOVER:
Young Programmers' Film Club

Blue And Orange Short Film Festival Poster (1).png

Through Winter and Spring 2025-26, TAKEOVER Young Programmers Club put local young people in charge of the big screen. Young people aged 13–17 met to design and screen a season of films for their friends and peers.

"You’ll choose the programme, run front of house, operate projection and sound, and even take the lead with digital marketing. Along the way you’ll get hands-on training in everything from film programming to projection and front of house—building experience and confidence, while shaping a fresh, youth-led cinema experience in the heart of Crieff."

"The final film choices will be made by the group, guided by broad themes that encourage diversity and inclusion—mixing genres, eras, cultures, and voices to create something truly unique. All screenings will be social events, with music and snacks."

"If you love films, want to try something new, or just fancy being part of a creative team, TAKEOVER is your chance to make cinema your own."
